Christians, Muslims and Jews share so much in common when it comes to prophets and prophesy, first of all, in all three religions, prophets serve as a link between God and his people, and prophesy is the revelations that are made to people by God through the prophets. According to these religions, prophets receive prophesy from God and then communicate it to the followers of the religion (Armstrong 13). The messages that prophets deliver to the people set them aside as the chosen of God regardless of the religion.

There are several prophets in the three religions that helped fulfill the roles of prophets. In Islam, Muhammad is the prophet that is acclaimed to have made the greatest contributions to the religion as the link between God and the people. In Christianity, there are several prophets who ever existed and some of them include Moses, Elijah, and Elisha. Jews, on the other hand, believe Jeremiah and Ezekiel, who warned against the destruction of the nation of Judah. The above-mentioned prophets from the three religions fulfill the role of prophets in giving the people prophesy from God.

Prophesy was necessary for the development of Christianity, Islam, and Judaism because the three religions have their fundamental beliefs based on the teachings and revelations of various prophets in whom they believe (Armstrong 92). In as much as the revelations and prophesies come from the divinity, it is clear that all the religions had different prophets who relayed these prophesies differently from the other prophets, and so, that led to different interpretations from which the three religions base their beliefs. Differences that are found in these religions lie on the messages of the prophets they believe in and the interpretation of these prophesies.Question 2

You are right that there seem to be some similarities in the way Christianity, Islam, and Judaism are structured. But, all religions are not the same in as much as their follower believe in God, have a day of worship, sacred texts and other rituals and activities that they practice during worship. In as much as they are all called Abrahamic religions because of how they began, their differences are major, so much so they cannot practice one religion and conduct the same services. There are huge differences in them and these differences come from the way they interpret their religious texts and prophesy from the prophets. The differences are not as small as anyone would think.

The similarities can be noted, but the systemic differences that have existed for ages cannon allow them. The few differences they may be having such as a day of worship is such an important thing that neither of them will is all too willing to forgo. The major rift that can never be sealed is seen through their fundamental beliefs, in which both religions base their faith. Their religious traditions might seem easy but, and they create deep rooted differences that go beyond the simple and obvious differences.

According to the suggestion given, it is all that hard, but there is a possibility that the three religions can assume their differences and form one religion, only if they set aside their differences. There is far too much commonality that they ignore, and the most important thing is that they believe in a divine being. All is not lost, and if they wanted, they can forget their differences and merge their beliefs and religious traditions. But as it is, it is one of the most difficult things to do.
